FAQ

01What is IP WHOIS?

Public RIR registration: org, ASN, CIDR, dates, registry, and abuse mailbox, via ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, LACNIC, and AFRINIC RDAP.

02Can I look up a domain?

Yes. Domain objects can show registrar, status, and nameservers. Privacy protection hides contacts.

03How is this different from geolocation?

Geolocation answers “where, roughly”. WHOIS answers “who is registered for this block”.

04What is RDAP?

The structured replacement for WHOIS. JSON over HTTPS. This tool uses RDAP only.

05Does this expose my IP to the target?

The query is sent from our servers. The RIR sees our egress, not your browser.
